These dogs were bred to be violent, and have the strength to be violent. This puts them in a unique situation not comparable to other dogs in terms of how well they're trained. Even if Fifi were to attack he/she could be restrained. You can't say the same for a pitbull whose jaws are built to clamp down, and hold its victim. A house full of children is just no place for this animal.

Oh my god. I wish you people would become more educated at least before you speak on this and that dog. It would really help some of the talking points to discuss.
I like dogs but do not like the pitbull or other dangerous breeds. It's like there are a lot of other breeds who are safer, literally. Because you can always ask the question, has a Llasa Apso ever bitten a human to death? What about a larger dog, like a beagle? No. Not a fair comparison? Oh, what about a full size 200 lbs collie? Young choke on your statistics. You obviously know nothing about dogs nor have you been around them. You have no place saying how dog are and how they aren't. Dogs are prone to aggression PERIOD. All breeds can and will bit you and many many have the ability to kill you. Stop playing. Dogs are not toys nor are they meant to be around small children period. I have 3 dogs and have had and will have many more. Everyone of them at some point have displayed aggressive behavior in some fashion. Barking is an aggressive behavior for goodness sake.
If you are so against the behavior you hear about with Pitts you just need to be anti-dog b/c dogs are territorial and will protect their territory and packs.

I think a big problem is dogs were bred to live outdoors and guard farms. Not be cooped up in small plots of land playing with small children.

Word man my dumb ass fukking lil brother(one who went to jail) got a pitbull pup in the house and then he went to do his bullshyt and got arrested.
So my mom ain't really want a dog in the house and my other lil brother who can't take care of a fukking turtle
wants to keep it and you can already see the pit is not fukking taken care properly and he's going to be a fukking problem when he gets older.
So what I did? I called animal services, cuz first off they are banned in our city, so the dog can't even be taken out for walks would have to stay in the backyard n shyt and he leaves him on a fukking leash(I feel bad for it too), and I do not trust my fukking retarded brother who can't take care of a turtle to raise the pit.
Plus we are surrounded with young families last thing the house needs is that the pitt broke free and attacked one of them lil kids
So them animal services might come and take the dog away and put him up for adoption in another town.
They are devil dogs, but they can be tamed with a proper and experienced owner. If you don't have time or can't train a pitbull then get a fukking yorkie motherfukker not a fukking pitt.

The TIME article mentioned that even the ASPCA knows they are problem.
These are CACs who love animals more than other humans admitting the scientific evidence that the dog was bred to EGG ON BULLS. Think about the instinct and brute mentality required to not be fearful of going head to head (NOT using wits or speed like hyenas or jackals) with a beast more than 8x your size.
They are warriors bred to battle fearlessly just like gladiators. Not protect and give care to small young human children.

Certain breeds of cats such as the Maine c00n and Bengal are also dangerous if not cared for, socialized and trained properly.
They are temperamental enough to kill a racc00n or possum as well as rumble with a Pitt due to their speedier reflexes and higher intelligence. They will aim for the Dogs eyes and nose instinctively while he tries to bite or nip.
