then somebody on either side needed to say "i'm not doing this." Granted, their medical staff ain't shyt given how many injuries they suffer, but this is something where everyone dropped the ball, and for what?
Nobody was gonna call Davis soft for not wanting to play through a torn labrum, let alone 3 years of it. Somebody in his camp shoulda said "get that shyt fixed, season be damned".
Now he's gonna miss the Olympics and be laid up for 4-5 months for something he coulda fixed as early as 3 years ago. Everybody loses.
Gonna waste away in NO. What a shame.

Now that I think of it, if AD didn't tell NO, then it was clearly because he didn't want that impacting his contract.

I'm very critical of the Pels organization, but this is a hot takes thread. If we had shut him down last year or this year or the first year y'all would be calling this man soft and/or injury prone (yall already do) and talking about how he'll never make it. But since we didn't now the hot take is "Oh how could the Pels have let him play through it?!"
Hell, he's only getting it done now because of his knee surgery so he's like I'll just finally take care of this too.

I'll wait until I hear from a team doctor or representative of the organization, teams aren't letting you play with a torn labrum for this many years when they have so much invested in your future, I'm not gonna blindly believe what AD is saying here.
