It seems really unprofessional for his agent to contact ESPN about the trade request before NO got a chance to gauge the market internally. To do it a week before the trade deadline forces their hand and will probably fetch NO pennies on the dollar for AD.

I like Woj bombs because they are usually accurate and real. But it's kind of corny how agents/players seem pressed to rush info out to him before working things behind the scene. Making this public gives AD more leverage and rushes the timeline. I'd be mad as hell if I were in NO front office

They can’t trade the picks only the players drafted from them . So they would have to have some tampering deal in place.

They can trade for Davis if he signs his contract extension in July. the draft is in June.

davis handling this right. allow the franchise to get a great package for him to kick they rebuild off proper. would request a top 5 pick and a star and a young prospect and whoever can give that i deal davis to them.

What team has a top five pick AND a star AND a young prospect though? And would actually be willing to give all that up? And if there was a team like that, making that move would essentially just create the New Orleans Pelicans in a different city.
