Sending out my med school apps this year. I'm taking a gap year to stack some paper and maybe travel a lil bit before i consign myself to slavery Medical is about to get weird as fukk soon tho, average salaries predicted to drop... But less people are getting into medical school.. but populations are growing and the populace aint getting healthier

Makes you wonder what the AAMC is thinking, America is about to get fukked pretty soon on healthcare and its not gonna be pretty.

Might even be more profitable to get into something like pharmacology or biomedical engineering soon too tho. I guess we'll have to see

Word. I had a friend growing up who had problems with Binge eating. Dudes appetite was fukking INSATIABLE. That would really suck to be in a position like that. But my buddy had the mental willpower to control his eating and is in great shape now. I've always had a pretty small appetite thankfully.

Some people are on that Fat b*stard "I eat because im unhappy, and im unhappy cause I eat" shyt too, its pretty sad. I think Americans in general are just conditioned to eat a shytload more than the average human being is supposed to. I cant really eat a whole lot. If I ever go to a buffet I see dudes goin ham with like 20 plates of some unhealthy ass shyt

and you know theyre gonna eat after that too


Honestly I also blame it a lot on Americans being so busy and people not making the time to cook their own meals at home. Going out and getting food is fine once in a while, but some people eat out every day, and lots of parents dont make healthy food for their children so theyre fat their whole lives

The educated AIDS patient would agree with me that treatment is much better than it was in the past, death rates are WAY down and a lot of people are living functional lives with it. Obviously AIDS is still a shytty disease to have, but its much more manageable now and thats a fact.

I dont know how i feel about Body weight or even BMI as an indicator of health, but BMI does seem to be correlated with some diseases

Yep, that's the thing.

Most fat people don't have particularly slow metabolisms (in fact, heavier people usually have faster metabolisms), but a lot of the time their brain just isn't as good at regulating their appetites as it is for naturally thin people.

I think people should make every effort to be healthy, but having animosity toward fat people is lame IMO.

You think your better than others cause you think you subscribe to some type of "better" lifestyle but you are really just as closed minded and bigoted as the next man.

If I were to say that all people that look like you are convenient store owners or terrorists I would be wrong, but it's ok for you to make sweeping generalizations about people you don't even know, using outdated and flawed statistics to rationalize your hate.
