No I stopped being afraid when I really understood the inevitability of it. I'm more afraid of getting an serious illness or losing a limb than dying.

Breh I really don't think I could cope being handicapped. Every time I get an injury I'm miserable. I really feel for them. Id prolly be a full blown J or alchy if I was stuck in a wheelchair :mjcry:

Every now and then it's something I think about and semi-freak out over. It's best that I don't think about it tbh.

I got kids now. shyt hits different. My father died when I was 6. I really want to be around for my kids when they grow up. I don't want to repeat the cycle.

I hope reincarnation isn’t real. The last thing I want to do is come back here on earth.

to answer OP, even though death is out of our control tbh I still fear it sometimes, I mean our #1 instinct is self-preservation, so yeah

as far as the line I quoted I said the same thing many times, basically I ain't trying to go to HeII, but I ain't trying to come back to Earth through reincarnation either, I just want peace

i think about death multiple times daily

when a famous actor or musician dies, i always look up what year they were born. lets say 1939. i was born in 1987. so, thats 48 years (older than i am currently); if i take care of myself (i havent) and eat right (i havent) and have access to doctors that a hollywood legend could access (i dont), then i'll probably live that much longer.

i also obsess on my current age. i have to be past middle age, because at 37 i cant see myself alive at 74. i dont think its gonna happen :damn:

i was 18 years old half a lifetime ago. it doesnt seem that long ago, but it was.

it keeps me up at night

im not afraid of being dead. im afraid of dying itself. i had asthma as a child and i remember what it feels like to not be able to breathe.

i do find some comfort in knowing that the brain releases tons of chemicals during death. i hope mine is peaceful :lupe:

i need to stop being such a bytch about it. i'm sure once i'm in my 40s i'll accept my old age. i just cant yet.

I used to have random moments throughout the day where the reality of death would hit me and it would give me anxiety.

I'd think about the idea of no longer existing and it would terrify me.

Nah. Everybody dies. It's a part of life. No body gets out alive. "Enjoy life. Smile everyday", Roy Lee Pate. You are already in a place with access to seemingly never ending comedy.
