I don't smoke I have asthma. I don't drink because I've been witness to stupid situations when ppl can't handle alcohol.

This is how & why I stay sober.

I don't knock others who choose to do the opposite everyone is different.

I got an extreme binge type and addict personality. So I can't just have a couple of beers or 1 joint. Once I have a little bit of anything Im spending the rest of that day getting as fukked up as I can

I have some wild stories but it's not worth it in the long run

Now days I might only drink once a month and smoke a few times a month.

My father was a drinker and would drive drunk so at a young age I had to get the car in the Garage.

It was really through being drunk he could really show his emotions about how he felt and it made me very sad so see a very hard worker, good dad, well read man to be drunk often but he had a very very fukked up life before him and my mother met. So I can't blame him for drinking at all.

Ever heard that phrase "Times are bad like luck"? He had it bad...his dad kicked his ass a lot...he married at 21 to have 3 kids and his 1st wife die on the 3rd seed....he came here illegally and worked HARD man...and never had a HS diploma.

That is him but by the time I hit 16 he had quit stone cold sober on his own. After that I decided no drinking AT ALL....He took that bullet for me.

So no drinking for me because I always think of how my father looked. He is 86 now but hasn't had a drink since he was in his 60's
