For the cacs and uppity nikkas in the thread I'll leave this here for you to peruse at your leisure since many of you are clearly detached from the plight of the Black man in america just trying to make it, let alone be making $40k a year: BlackDemographics.com | INCOME
2012-Black-Family-income.jpg

With that being said also take into account that nikkas who rap wasn't doing shyt before but selling dope or working some bullshyt 9 to 5, so yes I consider it a success for some and subjective for others like J Cole who actually went to college and earned a degree. Now when I say selling dope I dont mean Big Meech, I mean that most of your favorite rappers who rap about all they "work" was really a errand boy for a nikka who made enough to where he could put money behind the do boy. Either way he was going to be dead or in jail, music gave many blacks a way out of a bleak situation.

Yo this is the ultimate bum nikka dream if you think about it. $40K? :mjlol:

You could barely afford a house and car. Even when nikkas dream, they dream low. Like how the fukk can your fantasy be lower than my reality?:russ:The fukk is wrong with you nikkas? You dream about being broke. Who the fukk dreams of being average and broke?

Might as well work a secure job. Not worth the risk. get your priorities together. How can you fantasize about

The best success honestly is happiness, and helping other people be happier and progress. Success is something that is individualised and personal and not a standard rigid prototype. You have to define your own success ultimately. In terms of money, getting paid for something you love is a beautiful thing, and making a living off it is brilliant, that's a great feeling. That's often 1 of the keys to happiness in terms of life quality and career/job satisfaction, to maintain and prosper through your passion and love. Something that inspires and excites you. Nobody should ever let the narrow opinions or views of society or any individual dictate to them about anything about their life. Do what you wanna do, do your best and be happy. And do what makes you happy....

smh at thinking 40k is a success
I really want to be mad at you nikkas/cacs for your posts but I know its purely ignorance. :ld:

It's clear you grew up in the suburbs/nice neighborhood with probably both parents and if not at least one had a good job and maybe even finished undergrad. That's not typical of the average Black family and if you would spin through the hood or do some time giving back to the community/volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club you'd see what reality is. Maybe because my family is from down south and I've seen the shyt first hand of how we're living I can't laugh at things like Black living conditions, schools, wage disparity and gentrification as easily as some.

But hey, laugh at the shyt that really matters brehs but just know your opinion isn't a reflection of reality

Its all about perspective, I aint rich at all but I work for myself in a creative field and I take that over the money I couldve been making at a more stable 9-5. The goal is to get to the top of my industry of course, which will result in huge paydays but that isnt my focus. I dont live for money, I live for what I do and who I inspire. Thats what I as important, not hatin on the next man at all thats tryna live comfortably and take care of his fam though, I just think were given specific gifts for a reason and thats what were here for...

I make $50k and hate my life. Making enough to eat and have a place to live doing what I love sounds like heaven right now. Even if I made $150k it would be the same
