Establish a bankroll.

If you look at your hourly rate and see consistent earnings not just variance, then go for it.

I used to play and not know when to leave the table (when I was up) so I left it alone. I’d get caught up in big pots instead of sticking to my strategy. I guess I’m not disciplined enough for poker.

I play but less often than I used to. Takes a lot of skill and discipline to play. A few good times doesn't mean to make it your career. My boy made a good living out of poker. He still plays and can easily win a few thousand and lose a few thousand. Gotta be able to deal with the swings and have good people reading skills. He read a bunch of books on it too. That's likely why he got much better than me. I wish they still had online poker tho.

I would recommend studying and playing Omaha. The profitability is much greater than hold em bc the pots are bigger, people don't know how to play well, and people are unaware of how bad they are at it.

I kind of want to get back into it. I used to play at a some peoples house when I was under 21. I think Gusto is onto something because I definitely won more on Omaha high low.

I've been playing low stakes tournaments lately and done alright.

Still need to improve before I attempt the higher entry fee tourneys. Haven't done the cash games yet either.
