My perception of Atlanta is skeweddown here has a lot going on, just wanted to be in a more economical black area, just curious what was wrong with the UNIA?
Basically they're a bunch weed heads and really aren't doing anything. I was excited to join especially because of the history of the organization but they're pretty much dead.
The 100 Black Men org though seems pretty decent, but I only went to one happy hour event of theirs. It's more of a professional networking group for black people than anything.

I want to start being involved again I was actually think of making a thread were we could list the the organizations we know in our areas when this section was mentioned. Maybe this can serve that purpose as well?

This is why I didn't want to post because I went to the site and saw 
but it is community based. You basically use them to get things done is specific neighbor hoods. You take your issues and use their numbers to take it to local government. For example there was a complaint about a large number street lights being out on the streets in one of the neighbornoods. People were targeting those areas to rob. We partnered with them to get them fixed and they replaced them all. Things like that, any issues.
