im in internet marketing(specifically cpa, cpc and ppc) wouldn't want to do anything else tbh.

Its erratic, to say the least. let me tell you right now man, this shyt is not easy.. so many things can go wrong And depending on what you are doing(ppc for instance) you can be in the red FAST.

I might keep my options open and focus in later in my career.

depends on so much... product/offer you're trying to promote, traffic source, landing page, creatives, verticals, split testing.....etc
you ALWAYS have to put in either time or money to test what works and what doesn't
