I was also born in the US to Colombian parents. And this some truth^^I was born in NY to Colombian parents and most of my family is over there.
Colombia is diverse.
I'm mixed white (spanish) blood and indigenous/african blood but I also have black family members.
There is definitely racism but it's not such a huge issue because everyone is colombian. Its almost playful, sort of like the way we bust eachothers balls in the usa about being from ny or la or chicago. Black white Asian Indian whatever, your colombian and there's a pride to that.
In the USA people are proud to be American but there is a lot more division and tribalism than in Colombia.
My black American friends who have visited love it there. Women won't treat you differently if you're not white.
Having said that I go at least once a year and I love it. I hope to go again soon.

), no racism, everybody can get along very well
