this is exactly what im doing right now i just finished my first year and my degree is like cis or mis programming is no joke i made a thread about this not long ago you really got to be about that life to study it. I could have easily studied cs if i wanted to but i hate programming and math luckily for my degree we dont have any more maths after first year and anymore programming after second year. first year alone 60% of people in my class failed their exams me included and you have to pass all classes to go the next yearThe school I go to the first two comp sci courses that count for the major are weed out classes.
Especially Data Structures.. they say it's one of the hardest classes at my school and about a third of people who take it fail.
I should have just went into IT and taught myself how to code.
cs is not for the half hearted my course is not even pure computer science and only 20 people grauated last year and even this year there is only 20 people in the last year. if the math does not break people the programming willwow that sounds like hell
probably completely turned off at least a couple students

I haven't done c++ in the longest,
I still put it on my resume tho![]()

I mean the actual code.

Breh, I'll keep it a buck with you, if you're having trouble with Calc I, even in a condensed format, you might want to start considering options.That is, unless you plan on seriously improving your study skills.
How difficult are CIS or MIS degrees? What are you learning in those classes? With programming and coding it's not just memorization and regurgitation.this is exactly what im doing right now i just finished my first year and my degree is like cis or mis programming is no joke i made a thread about this not long ago you really got to be about that life to study it. basically a cis or mis degree is mixture between IT and Business. for my degree at least first year we went through webdesign and javascript for programming and unix for scripting next year we are doing for java and probably for unix scripting. Math wise we only studied discrete math and calculus for first year and dont study any more maths at all. so basically a cis or mis degree is a kind of "watered down" version of a cs degree which for me is perfect because i hate both programming and math and if i decide i want to become a soft dev after my java class i will just study it on the side win win for me.How difficult are CIS or MIS degrees?
