What's the best way I can learn online?


I been wanting to learn
I purchased a ps4 chess game and thought it would teach me
But the tutorial is ridiculous

I used to play on Yahoo.com back in the day. I play the chess app on my phone from time to time, but my dad is really the only person that I play IRL. Coincidentally he’s the one who taught me to play.

It takes some practice. I don't think being good at chess necessarily means smart at everything. I had to be taught how to see things. And then it didn't apply to other things cause its just a game. And i wasnt as smart as i thought i was

My uncle taught me basics. I thought i knew shyt. Got whooped on by some white dude. ( nice guy ) at dupont circle in DC. It was a mix of IVY league guys and bums. Formed rivalries. Got better. Met Emory Tate. Quit. Especially since i saw many of the bums being equally as brilliant as the Ivy guys but wasting their lives. Now im settled and im like i wonder how good i could become

Its an aggressive game in some ways cause its purely mental. Some character flaws can be exposed to. Like.impatience frustration.

Opening has certain goals. Get your pieces out as fast as possible. Get your king safe. Control the middle or other spaces to make people fight you from the edge or lock them out of certain areas. Play out of different opennings like they are a stance and see the things that pop off out of those positions. After a while it becomes rote memory and robotic

I don’t know tbh. Like I said I just play against the computer on my phone nowadays. I can wash pops tho I used to be damn near crying when he would take my queen back in the day

Used to play.

Teacher formed a Chess Club back in the day and asked me to join. Won the Tournament and everything. Over the Summer she tried to secure funds to have us travel around the County, then Region, but the program got shut down.

Havent played much since then. I tried to play online, but its not the same.

Cant wait for my daughter to get older so I can teach her.

but tbh I'm really not that good. I only move the way I do because I was constantly getting my ass handed to me by a dude who had been playing for like 10-20+ years. It's like training 1 on 1 with the head of a dojo on a daily basis. Before then I didn't even know the proper direction the pieces were supposed to move.
