It is...I mean it honestly gave me a different view of the gay community, made me get rid of those homophobic ideas I had. And Spelman is comprised mainly of lesbians, and feminist. You'd really wanna go to Clark which is basically across the street too to find quality women.
But as far as the school, and I think this goes for HBCU's in general, you gotta really be on your shyt yourself, as opposed to relying on your counselors and such to be on top of it. Quite often I heard of people's stuff getting lost/misplaced. Them missing one or two classes and not being able to graduate, just a lot of horror stories.
On the flipside, I've heard stories of how people in non-hbcu's have their stuff handed to them. Their stuff is always on point, they know exactly what classes they need, and have left, and it's generally just a more organized experience. I honestly can't attest to the difference, but I know it's difficult to maneuver at an HBCU.
