every consultant at my brothers level was divorced , one of his colleagues sold his house because he spent his life in hotels....

my brother left because he was fed up of not seeing his kids .....

yep , and my bro used to tell me that 90% of the time you spent the evening in the hotel bar with colleagues that you had nothing in common having boring conversations in some city in the middle of nowhere

All the companies will market these positions as if they're really great and important. I work at a big 4 firm, they opened a new google-styled office with the hipster workspaces and treadmill desks. Work you like a dog but hey at least you have bean bags and treadmill desks
I do think consulting is more *exciting* than the other business fields, but at the end of the day you're still counting other people money. I wanna do something more creative at some point

also you can definitely have a social life. I go out almost every weekend.

FACTS. At the end of the day my goal is to make my own startup. Trying to do consulting at thge very most 5 years
