I've had no hearing in my right ear for over a week and I left an ear specialist this morning and brehs... I'll have to wear a hearing aid if these steroids don't work in 2 weeks

All because I cleaned my ear with a q tip like I usually do

I actually stopped using qtips. I don't think they help.

At least wet the qtip before putting it in your ear if you're going to use it.

hope it works out...i fukked up my hearing in my left ear about 5 years ago. could barely hear out of it for nearly a month and had bad tinnitus for 3-4 months. it mostly came back, but i definitely know it's damaged. shyt scared tf out of me when a couple days went by and i couldn't hear.

At one point I could only hear out of one ear. This was like 10 years ago. I drove myself to the hospital after a nigjt of drinking and my blood pressure was damn near 400.. I couldnt hear out of that ear for a month...then all of a sudden, felt like a bubble popped and I was back to hearing as usual

I have anxiety so sometimes i freeze up a little and my senses dull...

Other then that my hearing is fine

2 years ago I came down with a severe ear, throat infection. Lost all hearing, unable to talk I was on antibiotics and steroids for about 3 weeks.

It cleared up and I had my yearly checkup a few months later. Doctor says I have scar tissue on my ear drums.
I can hear but sometimes things are fuzzy and if we on the phone and you talking with a headset it's a bit more challenging
