3 more semesters until I get my BS in Economics. I'm minoring in value, law, and policy. Wish I had minored in finance or accounting but I'll tack some of those courses on with my free electives :ehh:

Thought about going into the law school, but lately I haven't heard anything good about law school debts and the life of a lawyers period. I'm not the type of person who likes owing any money and plan to graduate college debt free thankfully.

Looking towards a financial analyst type job when I graduate while possibly working on my masters also would love an investment banking job, but it's a difficult industry to break into. :why:
Same here breh.:to:

I really want to get into law but I'm a little put off by what I've heard about the legal market being dried up and that the job market is saturated with an abundance of lawyers.

And that law school debt :damn:

That's why I was thinking about economics as a major with an accounting or finance minor for an alternate plan. :ld:

What if you are pursuing a similar path but your school doesnt offer those minors :to:

And is there any use of a minor in Business? Thats always sounded like a waste to me, but its the closest my school has to finance :aicmon:

They don't offer Accounting or Finance minors? I would definitely do some sort of business Minor if they dont... Or fukk it, If you're interested enough, don't go for a minor and just take as many Accounting or Finance classes outside of your normal requirements that you have space for. The applicable knowledge is worth it... I'll tell you when I knew the shyt was worth it was when I found my self watching CSPAN instead of Sportcenter and really comprehending the subject matter and forming my own opinions on current Macro-Economic and financial matters:ehh:

Since then I graduated and got a job in the oil industry in Supply Chain. Hot laid off at the end of last year, but recently got two offers. One in Austin as a supply chaib analyst and another in LA in consulting. Regardless plan on going back to school next fall for a Master's in statistics and get into the Data Science field.
