I'm ready for an adventure.

Low cost of living

Education opportunities

And a decent night life.

That's all I need and I swear to Christ I'll move somewhere outside of the US.

Anyone know of places that have the things I'm looking for, and also that aren't that racist.. but then again the people who are supposed to protect me, are killing my people left and right here. So I'm sure racism couldn't get much worse wherever I go.

Would language be a barrier for you? I think that should be an important factor to consider; are you willing or at least interested in learning a new language?

If so, then you should consider Europe. If you want a place where language won't be a barrier for you, then you might want to consider the UK. This also makes sense since education is a priority for you. UK tuition is generally more affordable than what you'd find in the US.

The beauty of travelling across Europe is that it is a relatively small continent, with open borders. With a US passport, you can pretty much visit all of Western Europe without having to apply for a visa beforehand. Hop on a train from the UK and you have access to the majority of France and parts of Belgium and Switzerland. Aside from that, flights within Europe are relatively inexpensive. If you're really tight on your budget, then staying in hostels is an affordable option. American kids backpacking across Europe do this is all the time.

I only speak English, but I'd try my best to be fluent in the native tongue of whatever country I moved to within a year.

I'm not trying to backpack it though. I really want to go somewhere and establish myself. I'll be straight up about my situation.

I'd be going with less than 5k saved, and the clothes on my back. I work as a culinary professional in a restaurant, aka an assistant manager that gets paid $14.50/hr. So I don't have a "real" job either. My thinking is, if I find work that can sustain me, and start going to school, after I graduate I'll have connections, and more of an opportunity to find a career in whichever country I go to.

I'm starting from scratch, but I don't have kids or any responsibilities other than myself, so I'm like why not. Oh and I'm going in a few months when my lease is up. Reckless but :yeshrug:

There are a couple of posters living abroad, @KritNC went to Costa Rica a few months back and never left :russ: He opened a restaurant or some ish down there, you should hit him up since you're already in that field.

Where are you interested in going?
