Stopped listening a couple of months before Grantland folded. It was fun but at the end of the day it didn't bring much to the table imo. And Shoemaker is probably the most clueless wrestling "historian" ever, the amount of shyt he gets wrong or confused is kinda staggering. And that would be fine and all if Rosenberg or whoever he's doing the podcast with wouldn't treat him like some sort of eminence that really knows his shyt. If dude was just a fan I'd be fine with it but after months of him being THE go to guy on the pod and him coming up with retarded ideas, clueless predictions and getting facts wrong I had to stop. Dude is waaay worse than Wade Keller.

Kinda bummed Simmons didn't find another guy to in charge of wrestling at The Ringer. There's a bunch of people more equipped to be the "knowledgeable fan that can connect with the casuals". Hell, even in thecoli we have people like @Honga Ciganesta or @Don Rhymus that could do a better job than the Masked Man :manny:

Listening to the episode now. Blown Shoemaker is leaving because Rosenberg is.....hard to tolerate at times. Dude is such a mark for himself so I have no idea if the show will remain good without him but I hope so.

I have no clue where the podcast will go without Shoemaker. I love the podcast but usually when Rosenberg goes all the way to the left with a non wrestling related topic Shoemaker is usually one to bring it back to the topics they should focus on. Greg is gonna have to step up to the plate.

It's funny, I find Rosenberg way more tolerable than Shoemaker. I guess it's because Rosenberg is clearly presented as just a fan.

Damn this sucks. I'm a huge fan. Watching Rosenberg's YouTube videos and this podcast got me back into wrestling. It always felt like shoemaker was the glue but I'm hoping Pete and Greg can make it work. Sad day to be a humanoid

They do a podcast on wrestling and they barely even watch

I prefer the law stuff

Review a Raw might be my favorite podcast I never miss it

Which makes sense like I can get that, but I think it's just that persona he puts on that rubs me the wrong way. When he's on Juan Ep, it's toned down by a lot. But all the name dropping and the being oh so impressed with himself shyt he does just makes me want to slap fire out his ass

Listening to the new MLW right now. OG 3 is back :blessed:

Reap nikkas know Solomonster, Dalyxman, Don Tony, Sam Roberts

:birdman:

What's Dalyxman :whoo:

The latest Don Tony was great. DT muttering digs at Kev. "Eat a snickers." "Blah blah blah blah, baseball". I was dying.

One of my favorite podcasts :to:

This was in the back of my head when Grantland went under and Simmons came back with the Ringer. Felt like he would come back for Shoemaker, and with Rosenberg on ESPN Radio and TV he wasn't leaving.

Hopefully one day Simmons and ESPN get past their shyt and let them reunite.

Rosenberg needs to find another straight up wrestling guy, who knows their shyt. Shoemaker hopefully finds some good guests, because I like him but if its just him talking for an hour thats gonna be :snooze:

I like Shoemaker but I've noticed years ago that he isn't really much of a wrestling historian, and he also doesn't have much of a wrestling mind. I remember he thought Big E would be world champion before Reigns back in 2014 when it was clear they were positioning Reigns as a future top guy. I've always preferred Rosenberg because I enjoy his brand of comedy, though he can be annoying sometimes.

It'll be interesting to see how Shoemaker does at the Ringer. Imo he needs a cohost similar to Rosenberg that he can play off of. Unrelated but I remember Simmons used to always have Meltzer on the BS report back in like 09/10, curious as to what happened to that relationship? Seems like Meltzer would have been an obvious choice for Grantland back then.
