Self-discipline breh.

A lot of people want motivation to start.

But it's backwards.

That feeling of motivation comes only after you do the task you want to do.

You don't need to feel anything to start what you want to do.

So it's all about self-discipline.

I used to be a major procrastinator, but I can't even imagine myself doing that anymore. My brain just wired itself to get things done, and I got there by getting things done.

Yeah. Here's a story that illustrates what happens. The specifics may differ from person to person but the general theme remains.
The man stops and asks the old fella in his chair, "Sir, what's wrong with your dog? He's howling, howling, I could hear him a block away. What's wrong with your dog?"
The old man's reply, "He's lyin' on a nail."
"Lying on a nail?" the man said, "Lying on a nail?"
"Yep"
"Then why doesn't he just get up and move? Why doesn't he do something?"
The old man's reply - "Well, I guess it just doesn't hurt him enough yet"
There's no need to make life complicated. Procrastination eats away at your productivity like a virulent virus. Eventually you get to the point where either you man up and overcome it or you just accept that procrastination is a fundamental part of who you are - i.e. it's unchangeable. There's no set of books to read or list of quotes to recite. A day just comes along and you decide that it is time to grow up. That's not to say that you overcome it just like that, because there will always be relapses, but that is to say that you start to battle against it and win more more as time goes along.

And, to take this a step further, this is fundamentally how human beings deal with all of the problems. "To be, or not to be, that is the question: Whether 'tis Nobler in the mind to suffer The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune, Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles, And by opposing end them." Every day you wake up, you have to decide whether you are going to hold yourself accountable to your ideals/standards/values or not.
