What if I don't want her forever? What if in trying to do the right thing I fail and succumb to the demonic realm again? Now she's ruined forever. A demon herself. As the saying goes, the safest sex is abstinence. What if the right thing is to leave them alone altogether?
Also what makes you think being un-demonic is as easy as just deciding to do the right thing? That would mean the realm is not actually ethereal but that of conscious decision-making? If the latter, perhaps the answer lies in recognizing our true nature, but avoid being slaves to them.
