Any Learned Spanish Speakers Here?

Is anyone interested in a thread where we write entirely in Spanish?
I can read pretty well, write ok, and have basically given up on speaking well until I do some immersion.
Been learning Spanish since 6th grade so my foundation will always be very intuitive.

I would, if you could get a website of post key codes on how to make the SPANISH N and accent marks. I'd be all in, but I honestly dont wanna make the effort to copy and paste ñ all the time

Like most people in the thread have said, having someone to practice with makes a world of difference. You can read books and use apps all you want but getting the practical use/form down is what counts.

I wouldn't say I'm fluent, I'm probably more conversant. I can understand more if I'm writing in a text conversation. My understanding of a conversation usually depends on how slowly the person is speaking to me. I got enough to where my Puerto Rican wife thought I was Dominican when she met me lol

A while back I was in Bogota and in a record store. I don't know a lot of Spanish but enough to where I could lightly converse with the owner. I told him I was looking for some records and asked if he could help me find some. While we're talking I told him I'm from the states and he told me from my Spanish I sounded like I'm Brazilian He still sold me some fire cumbia and salsa records though

Every time I try to do something on here, there's ZERO participation, so it dies. I'll participate, but either you or @Dip will have to run the show.

Proficient speaker. What helped me was hearing/reading/speaking Spanish 90% of my day.

I even put in a good chunk of hours having what are called "Idioma Intercambios" and that was 1:1 with this married woman. Since Im back in the USA I fell off a bit but I still read a lot of Spanish.

I'd say google "radio garden" and pick a country and start listening to them.

I won't lie.... my public speaking and verbal comprehension are bad because I don't consume any media, so I don't hear the language spoken every day at its highest level (and speed), although my grammar and vocabulary is high.

I need work.

If you post from your Android phone, just download the language pack from your keyboard settings menu. After that, you can switch between Spanish and English characters by simply swiping the "space bar."
