Any left handed guitar players here?

It'll be a minute cuz I got shyt to focus on and get done, places to reach, etc but I'm feeling more and more that I wanna pick up guitar as a hobby

I'm left handed though (kinda adds to try the appeal, being unorthodox

) it's best to be well researched on it before I make any impulsive purchase. Any brand recommendations, learning tools, etc?

That's the way I'd always hold it when I used to mess around on my grandfather's guitars. I wish I would have devoted more time to playing guitar, but I took after my uncle and played the drums.

I tried playing it the normal way and that shyt felt mad awkward. Even today if I air play along with my favorite riffs it's left handed

Definitely Jazz. Outside of that idk, hell. I love the way certain chord progressions sound so I'll discover what else thru them.

Both hands need to maintain accuracy and a rhythm for you to create sound. In order for that to happen, both hands need to be trained.

It's like getting a piano for left handed people or violin players. Both hands need dexterity to play.

To answer your question though it just feels natural/impulsive. One time as a teen I grabbed my friend's guitar and started playing around with it, rambling about whatever shyt and he finally told me "You're holding it upside down "



My response?-- "I don't care ". I never once wanted to hold it "right". If there's no such thing as left handed then there shouldn't be a problem with learning that way

Comfort, since your dominate is stronger hand and etc. I have heard of left handed players just playing it like a right handed player.

You right the neck is upside down but low e and high is e are in their correct position...
