ANY MASON IN HERE??

Was at the barbershop today and was talking to this retired chief in the air force and he was talking about the lodge and he told me to look up prince hall mason i always wanted to know what they was about but he said i should think about it while im deployed

any of you guys have any past experiences or still part of the brotherhood?

my cousin who lives with me is a mason i dont know too much about it but i remember him telling me that they were gonna give him a call and when they do no matter what time it is he had to go. i remember he left on a saturday and didnt come back till the next wednesday

My granddad (was) and my uncles are masons, IMO it aint shyt but an over glorified fraternity and I don't really respect black men who buy so much into a white organization like that (instead of supporting a black organization). The brotherhood seems tight and that's cool for what its worth but I can't say I believe the stories I hear about people beatin charges just by throwing a sign and the judge recognizing it, etc

My point exactly, it still has white roots, they wanted to be "one of the good ol boys" so bad that they made an off shoot of the organization in which they still weren't recognized for many years. I just hate to see black men beggin for a seat at a white man's table when there is enough wood and working hands available to build your own table

as old as freemasonry is, you dont think there were black masons before prince hall? and the only reason they were was to be like white men? through the entire history of freemasonry it took until the late 1700's for race to even become an issue. and that was much less related to the craft than it was just classic colonial racism. i think this matters to you more than it should though

Not a got damn thing! I know a lot of nikkas in the Navy that were masons and still got kicked the fukk out the military!
