Being a broke ass kid, scraping enough money together to rent a game for the weekend, going by the box cover alone. Being forced to play to some bullshyt for the whole weekend cuz you have no other choice :sadcam: Still having fun anyway :blessed:
I beat Rygar over a two day rental. I was happy I didn't buy that crap :heh:

With the exception of Metroid (never played it as a kid), those were my exact same experiences and proudest moments. I still pop my sh*t to non-believers that I beat Contra with no code a gazillion times back in the day. Knocking out Tyson in the first round. Beating Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2. Beating TMNT multiple times. Etc.

My oldest brother just turned 50. We and my other brother would probably all say our fondest gaming memory together was this one Saturday we spent all day playing Bubble Bobble together, with our mom even taking an interest. Shyt, my favorite birthday present ever was getting a NES on my 8th birthday.

NES is synonymous with childhood, friendships, sibling connections, sleepovers, and beef everlasting from trading games that somehow end up like Raekwon's Killer tape, for an entire generation of us :flabbynsick:
My aunt had a mini family reunion back in July. I was talking to one of my older cousins about how my sister and I thought we had a bunch of NES games but him and his older brother had like every NES game ever. Talking shyt I only saw in posters at video store or flipping through a magazine.

This part right here is straight facts. I let friends borrow games back then I have never seen again to this day. Guess I can't be too mad because I know I've got a few in my collection that my mom definitely didn't buy :lolbron:

I was in first grade the year I got an NES for Christmas. It was only half wrapped my mother ran out of wrapping paper , I got so many action figures and regular toys I didn’t even pay attention to the NES for a few days. My uncle ended up hooking up to the TV and and it was a wrap after that, I remember playing Mario with my mother and the night we made it to the mushroom world we blown away …good times

I remember watching My Older Brother and Sister try to beat that Dr Wily Level with The Floating Dragon on them Late Night Weekends, from trying not to use all the Power from the Floating Platforms and trying to properly Jump on the Blocks until it Stopped.... A lot of the Tecno Sports Games hipped me to the Sports and made me a Fan of the Squads(LT on STFB was the Biggest one, shyt I was Sad when Jerome Brown and Petrovic died cause they was Beasts there too)

I hate that Years since they've stopped Gaming while I've continued cause I would love to play a Game or 2 Online plus try to give My Brother tips on beating that Bloater on TLOU2:to:

Or you just paused it for a whole day and hope your mom didn't notice and shut it off :russ:
