But I don't say shyt because its always different visiting on vacation as opposed to actually living somewhere and you have to have your career poppin' and the rent/mortgage and bills need to be paid every month.

Your whole post is 100% facts but I feel this part the most. I’m on vacation so it is a completely different perspective. Oddly enough I been partying and moving around while I been here and a few times when people asked me would I live in LA I was like :patrice:. But that was mainly because I didn’t know how I would get any work done with this gorgeous weather and amenities. That’s a vacation mindset. The reality is living and working in a place is a different beast.

Relative poverty.
It's very expensive.
The Oil/Manufacturing jobs left.
They're basically living in manicured food deserts/abandoned white flight suburbs - as the West Coast is one giant white flight suburb.
I bet you those areas you think are so great don't get the most gov't resources.
"The Bronx"
Spuyten Duyvil and Riverdale aren't bad at all.
Let's not talk about all of those middle class Bronx Ghanaians trying to be bloods.
:sas2:
Bronx Ghanaians are poor as fukk

Most Africans in the Bronx live in the projects with several siblings and the father back and forth from Africa to the States or absent

The African kids in the streets are a small % as well there aren’t fukking Blood sets full of Africans :mjlol:

What I will say is that a lot of NY African kids love fashion...a lot of them want to be designers. U see it with guys like Sheck Wes and some of the most popular local brands like No Disturbance being made by children of African immigrants. Them African fashion nikkas be scamming and swiping too.

Spuyten Duyvil and Riverdale are upper middle class old ethnic white New Yorker hoods on god I've never been to Spuyten Duyvil in my life I couldn't even tell you what streets run there. I don't even know how to pronounce that shyt. :heh:

Riverdale is one of the richest neighborhoods in NYC. They don’t even consider themselves to be part of The Bronx. That’s how detached they are.

The “projects” that you see in NYC are nothing but co-op style high rise apartment buildings. The problem is NYCHA is notoriously bad when it comes to maintenance but also the majority of the residents don't take pride in their apartments or community. It will be residents that don't do the simplest DIY waiting for NYCHA to repair shyt whether that be painting a wall, patching up a hole in the sink rodents are coming in through, replacing a pipe, etc. You got people pissing in the elevators and leaving liquor bottles all outside the buildings and on the lawns from their gatherings the night before. Regular hood shyt.

NYCHA developments have community centers, playgrounds, basketball courts. Imagine living in Polo Grounds, Dyckman, or Foster and you literally get to see college and pro basketball players every summer play for free with live DJ'ing right in your community shyt nikkas take for granted.

There's people in the projects living like this :dwillhuh:

The US vets its' immigrants. You can't be that poor and african coming to the US. Transatlantic airfare is NOT cheap.
Believe the finesse process, brehs.
Oh I know the dads be in Africa and they sometimes NEVER come back.
Why don't the Bronx African women hype it up and tell the US gov't?

Idk but if you're homeless in NY your probably going to be sleeping in a dirty pissy train station in 39 degree cold.

A homeless Californian probably sleeps under a palm tree/tent in 85 degree weather
You are absolutely right. That's why the CA homeless count is so high.
