When I was a kid I was close with my cousins (mom's nephews *great aunt*) on my mother's side. However, we stopped being cclose as we got older. I don't fukk with my father's side like that at all. Only one I am kinda close with is my dad's breh my uncle.

Anyway, I have cousins that I don't know like that through my great uncle that I want to reconnect with. Haven't fukked with them since elementary. I'm at that age where I need to know my people. Family is all we got really in my opinion. A year and a half ago I reconnected with my cousins on my mom's side at Thanksgiving dinner.
