yup my father was a big fan of tennis and every saturday or sunday used to take me, my brother, and sister to play...we hated it but us doing so much we actually became competent players..i remember during gym class during my junior year in HS i found myself holding my own with the members of the tennis team, who had won a state title, on the court..the coach wanted me to put me on the team but i like i said no interest at all

I started respecting tennis players 10X more after I tried to play tennis. :to: That some shytt you have to start training at an early age.
Not necessarely. My pops learnt it so he could play with me when I began tennis. His technique was not good at all (:hyena:smile: but he could hold his own and we could made some matches. If you like the game, find somebody to play with for fun and you will improve quickly.

me and my wife did a few years back and while we were only fukkin around, sh!t was NO joke. I wanna get back to playing, but don't have not a damn soul to play w/:beli:
Can't you register in a tennis club where you live ?
You may find people to play with that way.

Brolic... Alcoholics
that sh*t is HARD. :wow: I've played a few times...

Only thing I can do even a quarter of the way decently, was serve. And by "serve" I mean just geting the ball across the net, not necessarily into the box.

Hitting it back after someone else hits it to you had me like :snoop:
I kept hitting it over the top of the fence or just missing it altogether.

And that's not even taking into acccount the endurance aspect.

First time I played I was 20 yrs old with my Commander. Was doing good. But when I think back on it, I was getting by on youth and athleticism. Played him again two days later and he bust my ass and I never played again.

I used to play for fun back in high school. Every summer, we would play at the public tennis courts. I got better and better. I took lessons too from a local tennis instructor. That helped my form on the forehand and backhand.
So it takes awhile to get ball control and the serve down. When I started, I used to serve underhand and so did my friends. It was lame-o, but we got better and were doing overhand serves. Then, we got to rallies and overhand smashes and short lobs. That's when tennis gets fun. When I got the ability to return the ball, the hard part was trying to control where to put the return.

I did sign up for a local tennis tournament once. My first game happened to be against this guy who I saw on the courts... who played against my tennis instructor. He basically prison raped me 6-0 6-0. I never got a point in. :sadbron:

you get used to it after a few times, for some reason i had a harder time with ping pong though, those cacs take that shyt ultra seriously and its pretty hard to scale down to the size

golf is way more challenging and frustrating, imo

I want to fukk with golf more. I played once in a charity tournament with my job. Since I didn't want to completely embarrass myself went out to the driving range beforehand and was doing decent. I came in second out of my foresome that was playing which surprised me since the two I beat had played plenty of times before. The dude that beat us MURDERED us though.

Didn't help that they were offering up free beer at every hole. So by the end we was all fukked up.

I just tried playing golf for the first time this past saturday........ :snoop:

without a doubt the most difficult sport to play.

woke up the next morning crazy sore

Golf is THE hardest sport to master bar none. To be able to replicate the same muscle movement and keep everything else perfect is ridiculously hard. So easy to fukk everything up.

It's been years since I played a full round, but it's so relaxing being able to grip that shaft n/h :to:
