I work from home on Mondays and Fridays and that’s honestly been a game changer. I still hate my commute the other 3 days, but it’s bearable and saves gas.

If I could bring in side income + work 25 hours a week I'd be content

Had it like this for 5 months, was the best and worse time I ever had. Good when the side was bringing in dough with the part time job, bad when it wasn't.
Quiet as kept, I want to go back to that asap, but there's no part time IT jobs no more :mjcry:

Death is my way out

I was shielded from all the financial/personal burdens of adulthood so I'm basically a lost man. No major work skills, squandered educational opportunities, etc.

I do music but I'm done trying to make a career out of it

So I'm going one day at a time. I feel incompetent brainwise but I'm still gonna shoot my last shots at trade school

But I know one day, positive or negative, it will end

Trade school is a good option, I'm similar to you too and I'm in an electrician apprenticeship now, just grind at this point, get the money legally any kind of way you can. Don't worry about shyt like marriage n kids or even how people see a job you work. Just work, but I'd say keep trying to make a career out of it but passively, like if it gets hot it gets hot, unless you don't like doing it period then drop ig

Who says I want to relocate?

I was waiting for that answer. Sometimes it ain't always about you, but what's best for yo kid. I'd do everythang I could to get mines outta here & leave them something behind for them to be independent & not another worker bee. You gone hafta lead regardless with they life might as well start a business. But to each is own :yeshrug:

How much was you bringing in a month for the side income and part time job? Were you still able to save?

I'm sure there part-time IT job, you can work anyway with IT. Hospitals, schools, etc.

I'm thinking Real Estate for side income

What’s in the best interest of MY child is to continue to stay in the same city where both of his parents reside. And where said parents are working to make the best life for him possible in every way. Relocation isn’t always the answer or easy for everyone to do. Familial support and relationships are just as important as money.

Also... relocation would be about me moreso than my child since all of his family is here. I know what it’s like to be relocated as a child because a parent had to prioritize money. shyt isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be.

If my kid wants to start a business.. he can talk to his dad since he has one :yeshrug:

I have no worries on none of that. I've had death on my mind since being a small child, I kinda find those things trivial. Not for everyone, I love that stuff, but I don't see myself as capable which I'm totally cool with.

My problem is mental competence. I've convinced myself my brain is damaged and I'm retarded. But slowly working on getting out of that. I just wanna get my funds up so I can live stable.

*Contrary to incel belief most women just want a man who is on top of their shyt and can support them should shyt get tough. but again that's purely anecdotal*

** EDIT - in my head merged this with another thread due to the wife comment

Trade school is great if you not college oriented. Can even start your own business. That said I'm not about starting my own business. I'd rather have my own business than work for someone else but ultimately you're working well over 40 hours.

I think with the rat race, it's best to keep your expenses as low as possible. I'm not saying to not splurge on nice things once in awhile but to have balance.

For instance, if I can keep my living costs to about $3000/month which includes everything, I think a 32hr/wk job would work. If you have a Spouse that's even better, y'all both can work 32hrs a week and contribute to everything
