I have two foldable electric scooters and they're solid purchases. Use them for light errands/groceries or just to ride around. They're mad fun to ride. Traffic in my area gets really bad during rush hour, so I can use them get around faster than my car.

Anybody else here with an electric bike or scooter? Any must have accessories?

I live in downtown DC with no car..use electric scooters & bikes everyday via Lime, Lyft, Spin, CaBi, Bird & Helbiz to get around if it ain’t the metro

Electric bikes are the first choice because the rented scooters have a speed governor :childplease:

CaBi e-bikes are better than the lime e-bikes, which are older or have connectivity issues.
I always wondered do you need to scan the barcode or something in order to ride those CaBi bikes or can you just scoop the ones you see laying around and ride away.

I be seeing those things abandoned everywhere.

lol i made a thread about this trend a couple years back. i always find it funny style.

never used one or care for them, they are everywhere in the city and they are breaking in new laws to protect the pedestrians.

not for me though.

Not gonna lie, as a regular bike rider, when I see people zipping by with their e-scooters, I'm like :ehh:.

Definitely gonna cop one after I get another road bike

You have to download whatever app the scooter or bike uses. You make a quick account using your CC/apple/google pay then scan the code within the app. The CaBi bikes usually need to be returned only at the CaBi stations…the Lime bikes can be left anywhere (within the riding/parking zone shown in the app)

Those electronic scooters are fun AF I'm about to get one. I stayed on them Bird and Lime joints when they were brought to San Antonio
