I think you're underestimating me but I know there's no way right now I can convince you I might have my lane here. Wordpress is just the start for now.
I understand all that from previous endeavors when I was younger making free sites on basic ass sitebuilders. As I said earlier, there is no way for me to convince you yet. I don't want to sound full of myself or clouded to what you're saying to me but time will tell.

much of the discussion here is 'current events", stuff cribbed from other sites, and jokes that aren't universal
hard to monetize that type of content
although i think film/tv discussion can bank from some accounts i've read
some forums are profitable if they focus on Q&A
they get subsequent traffic of people googling the same question (niche keywords)
but even that has depreciated-
many stalwart Q&A sites that were feasting 2-3 years ago are hemorrhaging and laying people off
if anyone is interested in business discussion??
there's a group that spunoff from lipstick alley
it is about 110-120 people currently (iirc)
websites/webmaster/etc. is one of the core categories
i think new signups are taken at the start of each new month
it is mostly black women but anyone is welcome
be warned- the discussion is a very different tone than biz talk at thecoli
no black nationalism or joking around
honestly you need to be pretty serious
i've seen people get straight up dropped from the group
you can find it through business alley section at lsa

I had a site awhile back... yourpuppyandyou.com
It was a niche blog about puppies...had a plugin that scraped and we worded articles. Made a little off Google before they became dikks.
Did some CPA stuff too awhile back....ate so good off CPALead
The whole making money on the internet thing is saturated to death at this point.

I've done a few when I was younger and the money isn't as residual as you think. I spent way more renewing domains, paying for a host, and designs than I actually made from parking and Adsense.
If you believe in it, go for it. But I personally wouldn't be diving in it with expectations to make money. Do it for recreation and passion.

I know it'll take time but I know I can reach people fast as fukk in what I'm making the site about plus my graphic design skills are another big pull.
