Any of y'all own reptiles???

Whats it like? How often do you handle your pet?? What do you have?? Where you get it from?

This Black and White argentine tegu is calling my name something serious. Then I saw this gorgeous looking black and white king snake from underground reptiles and that shyt had me enticed for a second, too. I been reading and the shyt say for beginners, for a snake, the king snake or milk snake would be best cuz a nikka was looking at boas, too. Smh

Nah but I want one somedays. Tegus are dope. I'm a fan of big lizards too. Snakes are dope as well. Research and know what your reptile needs to be healthy. A common thing here is people want them but some pet owners realize the duty that comes with it and end up releasing a lot of these reptiles in the wild and they throw the rest of the ecosystem out of whack a bit when you introduce new predators.

Man I been reading this shyt all week. What's standing out the most is that reptiles have longgggg life spans. I'm looking at tegus and it say them nikkas can live up to 20+ years if fed right and healthy. Snakes even longer. Reptiles are legit like a lifetime commitment for real. That's why I'm trying to take my time and kinda see what I want.

Love iguanas too. Especially the oranges one.



And I heard these rock iguanas can live up to like 80 years old or something. It's insane.
