Any of y'all survived cancer or know someone who did?

Any of you guys ever survive cancer, or know someone who has? I know that it kinda depends on how early you catch it, but I'm just curious what makes some beat it while others falter? Is it the willingness to beat if and a positive attitude? Did the person you know go the chemotherapy route or something alternative? Where they in a regular hospital or special cancer center?

My aunt beat cancer a few years ago

i had a friend who beat leukemia when we were 8...only to get shot and killed when we were 19

Beat stage 2 in my late twenties. Survival rates are based on type,how early it was detected, how common it is etc. Had twelve rounds of chemo at a private facility. Being positive helps, but being around people who dont talk about it and treat you normally was best. Its something you live 24/7 and its nice to get a break from it. Oh yeah, I smoked hella trees too during treatment.
