I'm 26 & just enrolled back in school for an accounting degree. I'm nervous af :sadcam:
Congrats and don't be nervous. I'm an accounting major too. My advice, find a specialty in the field like forensic accounting, auditing, acquisitions, taxes, etc. Don't limit yourself just to a general accounting degree. You luck and stay focused. :salute:

Does going back for your masters at 34 count? :patrice:

I got my bachelors in Network Security back in 2015 and never used it until 2022.
No age should not be a factor to learn. I'm in my 40s and took a building maintenance course at a community college to learn the basics. IMO, in today's market the certification holds more weight than a master's degree but it does depend on what.

I’m actually already halfway through the program. :blessed:

First off congratulations OP. Going back to school regardless of age is always beneficial.

I just graduated from Stonybrook Masters in Business program this spring at 35 (I just turned 36).

You got this OP

I actually dropped out back in the day from an accounting degree. I was good at it but it was too boring and a creative like me won't thrive at a job where originality is obviously not encouraged unless you doing fraud

should have just majored in Computer Science, what a dummy I was :snoop:
