I got my wife one for our anniversary a couple years back. The 3 liters are solid with a decent power band. I see a lot of 4.6/8s come through my friend's shop and he had a lot of problems with his 4.8 as well. I tend to stay away from most bmw's with the v8's as a general rule of thumb. We've had our 3.0 since '12 and outside of standard tire/brake/oil changes I've only had to replace a set of coil packs and a $30 fuel pump relay.

make sure the fuel pump has been changed if not, at-least, serviced.

And the cooling system, this goes for every bmw.

Meh. Its a family car. the benz equivalent would cost a grip. I got my eyes on a clk for me. But can't yet incase BM is schemin to tax me once the baby comes. Holdin my cards close to my chest and putting the benz money in the escape fund

Buying the car isn't an issue. Runnig costs are. Its cool to front like you're paid but I'm doing me.
