I'm not the only black person at my job by a long shot, but it is majority white.
That said, one thing I've noticed since I've started working is that people always seem to remember my name and I rarely remember theirs unless I work with them daily. Like I'll be walking through the hall or in the parking lot and random people will be like "Hey acri1 how's it going?" and I have no idea who they are other than them looking vaguely familiar so I'm like "....hey how's it going
".
Anybody else have this issue? I'm not sure if it's more related to me being a minority or if I just have a bad memory, or maybe if it's an introvert thing, but I've noticed this pretty consistently at various places I've worked. I'm trying to get better at remembering names but I haven't had too much luck so far.
