i work 6pm-1:10am, and i live far from work so I have to leave like 3:30. (I like getting there around 5 or so.) I get home around 3 am.

It sucks, but I'm kind of used to it. Just have to focus on getting up in the morning to not waste a day, even though there is nothing to do during the day. Working nights, you miss EVERYTHING. From social events to sports, forget about it. Add to that, it's a physical job, and you're exhausted.

Different jobs and never again. It will kill your social life, even on the weekends. I would go out to the movies with friends and always fall sleep or just always tired.

My schedule now is 6:30am to 3pm, I know some people have problems with that, but I love it. Get off early.

11PM to 7AM currently and I enjoy it better then working in the daytime/afternoon. Its definitely not for everybody as it seems half the people working the shift look like zombies and sleep during break a lot. It's easy to see why quite a few people gain weight and get into bad habits working 3rd shift as well. I do get weekends off, but as people have stated, you'll miss a lot of events and trying to keep up with your sports teams is a chore(if you care about those sort of things). I still manage to hit the gym up 6-7 days a week and find enough free time to do other stuff, but yeah, its definitely not the life for most people.
