They weren't as lyrically potent on that 1st album......The reason the albums from later are acknowledged is because Outkast are one of the most improved lyricists Hip Hop has ever seen in the same category as Em improving after "Foolish Pride"

Funky Ride is one of the smoothest songs ever... Claimin True is my favorite Outkast song ever. ATLiens is more consistent though... I never understood why nobody fukked with Decatur Psalm, that was the hardest song on the album to me besides Babylon and Mainstream.
