im not even gonna be mean honestly.. I think we all know how I feel about FPS being played on consoles
but ill try my best to help and skimmed through the first page and seen a few people bring it up a little.
FPS is arguably one of the most skilled video game genres, so its all about practicing with it. Learn to play with a good head set and learn sounds/pick ups/foot steps.. this will help even more with your awareness and help get the jump on people when they are trying to kill you.
Learn locations and whats the importance of the locations and why people should fight over them (armor skill ups/guns in games like UT/Quake etc) and learn timers. If a shield has a minute 30 second timer on respawn, if you learn the sounds in the game and you hear someone else pick it up then you know to be around for it the next time it comes back up.
Find what sensitivity you think works best for YOU and then play at that. Learning one sensitivity then going up in sensitivity makes no sense cause youll just have to get used to it and you'll miss a lot of shots you would of usually hit. Just find controls you like then master them. (should be easier on console because you have auto aim and little to no recoil.. not a jab, just realistic about the situation).
In most games they might have 20 guns or so but theirs always 1-2 best guns/perk set up etc. But even then find what you most comfortable using.
Being killed is just as important as killing.. Being 12-2 is better than being 15-15 if you get what im saying.. Dont just charge into a group of people and kill 1 then instantly die (this is what I see a lot regardless of PC or console). People see someone and just instantly go into this kill mode.. but if you play it smart you can pick up 3 kills etc. Its like boxing, people saying Floyd Mayweather is boring boxer because hes more defensive. But hes undefeated... People might call you a camper, etc (which is hard to be on these new small ass maps in these FPS) but fukk em

its better to have less kills but WAY less deaths than to have a lot of kills but a lot of deaths and you helped the other team win because you were constantly dying.
I could write on this subject all day but ill prolly just end it there. FPS are fun (and probably my most frustrating games

), when you find that 1 FPS you really enjoy youll never look at other FPS the same
