The way I do it is by pretending their is an audience watching me, and the best way to get ratings is to be a likeable person. You have to learn to switch that shyt on, whether you need to think about cartoons you watched as a kid or mentally recite jokes. There are ways to soften your face without having to outright smile.

But yeah I've been trying to reduce the level of seriousness I use when approaching most situations for a while .. I tend to think and contemplate alot in instances where it may not be necessary sometimes which might distract me from how my expression looks towards others ... maybe if I improve on that like you said it might help

Nah, I go with the people can't read me or tell how I feel game face.
I've been around people who I hated their guts and they aint even know it...I'm not two faced so I breezed and was only just cordial.
This is an interesting topic, I can learn alot from this thread...I've been rejected by so many jobs I've lost count..
.I've always had problems for a number of reasons...I'm not really good at playing the game....Im bad at hiding my frustrations during interviews, even when I do the fake smile thing I know the interview see the irritation in my eyes and tell im a bad actor lol.... I've gotten better tho...because im 2 for 3 in my last 3 interviews
Ive tried many things in the past, like wearing glasses before lol to appear more sophisticated and I couldn't see shyt because i don't wear glasses...everything was all close up, and I was walking into tables and chairs..stumbling... pretty funny looking back on it..I've wore suits before...trench coats....I just suck at expressing myself I think..i dont know
anyway, I cant really give advice, but my cousin who get fired from jobs and get new ones like its nothing is a master at the interview game...he said basically u have to find some that they can relate to and create a rapport...for example, if you're talking to a man and if they mention sports...u play off of that and try to create a convo about sports
if its a female, its easier, i got most of my jobs from women...ive gotten my best one from a black lady....but for women all u have to do is smile and be polite to them, unless shes a c*nt of course or a racist
as for mannerisms...i think eye contact, sitting str8, and looking attentive...basically u have to make them feel comfortable esp since your a black man...sadly we have to go the extra mile, might even have to be a little animated in a goofy sort of way....
I don't how tall u are because on TC your always kinda sitting or laying down, but if you're tall...alotta cacs see a big black man as a king kong, godzilla .. a threat basically
...its their natural perception, unless they're use to black men. u gotta manipulate them into seeing u as someone that's not going to choke them out if they step outta line lol u have to disarm their fear
