Japanese and South Koreans are crazy about pale skin too, the paler the better is how they view it.

Yeah, in places like China, if u were tanned, it was a sign that u worked outside in the heat and considered a commoner so they loved pale skin. They would even wear umbrellas in the sun to NOT get tanned. I dunno if its still like that to this day tho.

Yeah, in places like China, if u were tanned, it was a sign that u worked outside in the heat and considered a commoner so they loved pale skin. They would even wear umbrellas in the sun to NOT get tanned. I dunno if its still like that to this day tho.

Looking through all the pictures I can find of myself, I'm only ever incredibly white or red (see: out in the heat and/or drunk).

Impossible to tan.

Pretty sure it's actually cos they're fukk-ugly. But, yeah, blame the sun. Spend your youth looking like a cat burglar from an acid trip so you won't be as wrinkly when you're old and busted anyway. I know we should respect other cultures and whatnot but these people are utter clowns.

I remember one episode of Jersey Shore when they got back from Italy and hadn't tanned for a long time.

Pauly D went tanning, that's the 1st thing he did and he burnt his skin up badly cause he over did it. I was like

this is how it was back in the day here in the US actually. Freckles was a sign of being a commoner.
