Steep price but it's worth it if you going to use it everyday. I only make smoothie with mine but you can do so much more. I was reading about people making baby food with it

You can do this with a regular blendor or even a magic bullet

Yes until you get tired of them keep breaking on you. I went thru 2 blenders before the vitamix and the consistency of the smoothie is just better when it's a big load. I've had people make me as soups in it too
