Why would you upgrade again so soon? Can you even watch anything at 4K right now?

there's no content other than a small selection of bluray titles.

this type of upgrade is pointless as PS4 games aren't 4K and cable satellite providers don't have 4K content.

4K is gonna fail like 3D due to lack of content. these cable companies can't even get me 1080p content, and we talkin bout 4K????? :heh:

I actually want a bigger set, 70 is too big, 65 would be perfect, I figure why not just get a bigger set and new tech as well. I seen that 4K demo and was hooked. I'll invest in the 4k blu-ray titles if they make enough of them, right now I've got about 200 blu-rays so I know those will upscale.

How is gonna fail? It's just a higher resolution. It's a natural progression like 720 to 1080P

I swear some of you talk out your ass.

You can get a brand new 4K for $2000. Samsung has a 50" and Sony has a 55". The Sony is 2.0 compatible

I been wanting one since I seen how well it up scales blu ray. Will probably get one by summer

nothing wrong with the technology, but there is NO CONTENT basically. if most of my tv viewing comes from cable, and they don't even have 1080p, what makes me think that 4k content will be coming soon?

u gonna buy a $2000 tv to watch 20 blu ray movies????? :dahell:

Yeah, this is mostly true. Though the 4k tvs and the content that displays as such look pristine clean as fukk though. I was awestruck when I went to BB a few months ago and saw one. I could not move away from the screen for like 10 minutes. But yeah, until the content is the standard and prices are dramatically dropped, I can't fukk with them yet, unless I like get rich or something.

Yes, plus the existing blu's that I have that will upscale. I don't have cable, just fast internet with Netflix and the rest of the apps that comes with the new tv's plus plex so I can stream from the pc as well. I do photography and video so best believe that 4K resolution will be used.

Top end 1080p TVs have been costing 3k+ the past few years
And they have sold plenty fine
Just a year ago a 65* V series 1080p plasma would have set you back 3K plus

That Series 9 is no joke, swivel too :lawd:, looks like a hi-def picture frame. I remember reading about that beast, then I saw the price tag :shaq2:.

I considered it but it's a tech that's not worth the purchase right now.
