Anybody else actually enjoy being alone?

I don't feel like I am anti-social at all because when I am around other people or out, I socialize with most people and enjoy myself at times, but I just prefer to be alone. I have no problem being inside on a Saturday night chilling. Only time I pick up my phone is if somebody calls me or if I want to look something up. I enjoy being with my own thoughts and researching random shiit. Watching DIY & review videos on Youtube. Laughing at the fukkery on the Coli. Going to a mall or a movie by myself. Again I don't mind being around other people, especially a chick I'm messing with, but I just enjoy being alone.

Well...until my daughter came along.

New favorite place to be is chilled out at home with my BM and baby girl asleep upstairs so I know they're safe...but asleep so they can't bother me:myman:

Fatherhood does some weird shyt to your brain. I legit can't sleep sometimes if they aren't here.

As long as you have outlets to socialize once you actually do wanna go and be around people than there is nothing wrong with it.

I think I'm much the same way tbh. I personally have months where I socialize plenty, and then I can go cold entirely for months with little care at all. I just try to maintain healthy connections and when my friends do eventually check in on me I make sure to go out for a bit :wow:

I just enjoy solitude. It's where I do my best thinking and sadly where I grow the most as a person. But maybe that's habitual.

Yup, that’s 100% me.

I’m a big introvert, and I find prolonged interaction with people draining. That’s not to say I don’t like hanging out with friends, I do, but I really enjoy my alone time. Matter of fact, I prefer it. I go to restaurants alone, movie theaters alone, etc.

It used to be that if I was drinking or smoking weed I could hang out with people all day. But I leaned too much on that and had to fall back. Being sober makes it harder to truly be relaxed when interacting with people.

Reading a good book, playing games, binging tv shows, or listening to music is what I call a good time :ehh:

yeah, I'm on the go a lot, my down time is important. So I kind of hate dealing with other people's problems. I bring positive vibes to a situation, so I resent my free time being associated wit negativity or time wasting. My life revolves around efficiency.

My ideal down time is relaxation and isolation. During this period I can collect my thoughts, recharge, read, sleep, be lazy, workout, plan my next moves.....

Companion is cool, but I want it on my terms and I kind of hate attachments, because I likely can't be there like I should. When I'm busy I'm busy, like 24/7. It's just not fair for others and I'm not the type to share.....

I'm married, got plenty of friends and I LOVE being alone

I was having this convo with someone yesterday. That's how you know when someone truly loves themself, if they can be alone and it's no problem

In fact, I think ppl pick up on that and that's why so many people want to be around me, because they see that I'm happy with myself
