yes, American companies aint shyt, the amount of spam we're allowed to get, the telecoms know they can block this...EU doesn't let this shyt fly. i'll wake up to 4-5 texts from "amazon" and "netflix"....and no matter how many times you report junk they still are able to spam you
And being phished. Somebody has information if yours they shouldn't have. Presumably a leaked email that you used to sign up somewhere and also used somewhere else with a phone number.

Change all passwords, turn on 2FA through an authenticator and log out of all devices, generate a random complicated email and sign back in.

I'm not even surprised when I check the number of attempts on certain sites. It's something bound to happen nowadays.
bro, it doesn't take a leak to get your information. one, it's for sale, two, it's pretty easy to figure out phone number nomenclature and just change various digits to create a whole roster of numbers you can spam.

Make sure your number is on the Do Not Call registry (it won't stop the texts, but it's helpful in the long run for imposing penalties), and report the numbers to the FTC. Both can be done on the FTC website.
I was getting a lot of spam texts over the summer, now I don't get any.
i've been on that list since it started, it's a joke, it doesn't do anything to stop these since it's a bunch of vaporware and robocallers. sure, if you don't want to be solicited by a legit business, it works, but no for today's landscape of spam and scams
