Sports peaked in the 90s, they sucked any entertainment factor out of the all the sports shyt is boring to watch, shyt is just being a dikk rider for a hobby now nobody is really entertained by any of this shyt they lying to themselves
all I watch is boxing, because it's a niche sport, its the only sport with true fans, you don't need marketing, or mainstream advertisement boxing is it's own world and always has been
Games are way too long, nobody got time for this shyt rather do something else, watching sports is for losers or people with gambling problems

In Europe I got like that about our mainstream football leagues and I took more interest in the lower leagues/less financially rich teams.
America doesn’t have the notion of relegation and competitive lower league/local professional sports so I understand. Had the same with NFL. Loved it for a few seasons but now just seems too OTT in regards to coverage and stats. Just feels like a nice distraction from hardships of life.

This is completely me 
My first sport is basketball. I'd watch NBA, fairly heavy, followed by college occasionally. Definitely tuned into the playoffs, religiously. NFL, my second sport. Watch casually, but again, definitely tuned into the playoffs.
Haven't gave AF the last two years.
I keep up with highlights, storylines, and what's going on, but to ACTUALLY sit there and watch games, haven't been able to do it, since pre-pandemic/George Floyd. I thought this country got exposed, and it's obvious they want you in a trance. I been unplugged tho.
I thought these events really exposed, how much some of these sports are a distraction. How invested they try to make the average person. Same with movies and Hollywood. My love for cinema has waned too.
They don't want folks talking about politics, how we're getting fukked over, racism, etc. When sports was off, the spotlight was on ALL that shyt. Now they want you back to worrying about what Lebron makes, where Brad Pitt dined the night before, etc. WHO GIVES A fukk when the average person is out here hurting?
