Growing in the 80s and 90s with a lot of classy females in my family and seeing TV characters like Claire Huxtable, Donna, Fred's GF on Sanford and Son. Even Weezy Jefferson and Ester has a level of dignity and pride. You could not express to my that we didn't have the nicest and classiest women around. So growing up, dating outside of my race never crossed my mind. Even in the 2000s, there were ratchet things happened but usually it was hidden and hard to find out in the open.


The BET Award was really sad last night. So much twerking and very revealing outfits. The host seemed drunk and wild. This aint us man. I have to but a lot of the men too. We have so many simps pandering and even men like me, not saying anything. Most women don't know how bad and crazy they look. Look at little Kim out there. Somebody needs to say something. WE really need to restore proud and class back into our culture.


I see why Hov and Beyonce don't come. It's our of control. Every thing doesn't need to be a party or club atmosphere. We're way better than that.

People are going to rush in and call you c00n and say you're too worried about respectability politics. And as a man if you call any of this out with mention of women you're a sexist and need to sit down somewhere.

Folks wanna act like you can't want to take pride in yourselves without it being a reaction to white people somehow. And I agree culturally it's getting to a place where if you have non-ratchet values, you have to look harder than you should to find a partner. The more attractive you are as a woman the more pressure to be ratchet. And black masculinity has never been as closely tied to degeneracy and violence as it is now WITHIN our community.

There's literally a trending topic of a 44 year old multimillionaire clout chasing at O-Block yet your post is only singling out the women.

We're a direct reflection of each other. If we want to change our women's behavior then we have to change ourselves first.

Yeah but image is very important and many other groups understand this and protect their image at all costs. Europeans of Judaic faith, Asians etc.

Our image in the media is terrible and very damaging.
