I was working in corporate A/V so we were the first ones affected by the Covid shutdown but being that I’m resourceful I was able to secure another gig getting paid more than I was doing minimal work, I’ve been called back to my A/V job 2 weeks ago it was inconsistent hours and yesterday after an in studio event I told everybody that was my last day, I explained to them my life changed during the shutdown and I felt coming back was like taking a step backwards. FYI I do have something else lined up :youngsabo:

We went remote fully in February 2020 before the pandemic was a thing. I thought I was going to have a unique job being fully remote (it wasn’t common before the pandemic and most wfh jobs were shytty $9hr customer service jobs) but then a month later everyone was just like me :unimpressed:

I used to do something like customer support when I was in school.
The trick is keep yourself busy that's all.
I was reading books while keeping my headphones on.
If you at home then get a treadmill or an exercise bike.

Or even better get this:

So how are you eating now?
Better paying job, better team, I would say better boss too but my previous boss was also great.

This is a new career path for me, still in IT, but now at a major IT company building their CX Practice.
20k more, but before I had an expense card and I used the fukk outta it!!!

I love my current job, but i'm gonna miss my old one too.
I had about $700 budget a month to spend on my card taking people out.
I would go to the most expensive restaurants and just wild out.
Great gourmet dining almost daily, and I would always order an extra plate to go for supper.
