Electrician. Between them covid unployment checks, breeding dogs, stock investments at start of the lockdown when stocks took a nosedive, and people finally spending money to fix up they houses I was eatin good.
I was planning for YEARS on how to get my job to let me work from home. It was supposed to be a big life changing shift for me...then it just happenedWe went remote fully in February 2020 before the pandemic was a thing. I thought I was going to have a unique job being fully remote (it wasn’t common before the pandemic and most wfh jobs were shytty $9hr customer service jobs) but then a month later everyone was just like me
Its cool, but not what I hyped it up to be
I was really looking forward to working out of coffee shops or random spaces in offices downtown, but then covid hit and everyone was both like me and all public spaces shut down

Got a new boss about 4 weeks ago, she asked us how we felt about going in. ( We are 3 days so far) We had about a 2-hour discussion along with other people on the team, everyone agreed 2 or 3 were sufficient enough. I just came back from vacay and people told me she was hinting at it but she decided that starting October 4th, we are returning 5 days a week and we can't wear sneakers unless it's a Friday. I literally had to turn off my zoom before I did something drastic. I'm doing push-ups right now in between typing so I don't punch a fukking hole in my wall
Time to join the great resignation with a lot of other people looking to go fully remote.

Quit my job back in June 
Was gonna start looking for a job till I found out I could still file for regular unemployment. Saved enough during the extra benefits. To live off regular unemployment not worry.

Permanently remote. I was able to watch my son grow. I would have never had that opportunity at an office. It sucks whe shot hits the fan and Im all by my lonesome with no one to really talk to. Save at least $500 a month and my work gives me a lunch allowance
im allowed to go into the office once a week since july, but ive only done it twice. telework was supposed to end august 18 now we're back to no end in sight. blessed, i dont want to complain at all but i do think my morale is shot
my workplace is piloting a new remote program based off job responsibilities...in my case it was going back in the office for 1 day of the week which i had a choice of what day..i didnt mind that shyt since breaking up the monotony of my work week was cool with me plus i had my actual office restored to me...i was suppose to start up last week but upper management said they had to temporarily put that on hold...so still working from home in my beater and drawls doing my thing lol
