Anybody else expecting a shyt Office Party Season?

Company Christmas Parties are gonna be shyt this year, assuming your company has one. 5 years ago they used to be elegant parties in downtown Raleigh at Marriott where you and a guest would get pissy drunk off the finest liquor, eat shrimp and grits and win IPADs in raffles. I noticed every from that they would scale back. Two years ago it was drink tickets and you only got 2 free ones. Now these fukkers do a holiday luncheon in the Office where they just feed you in the daytime and call it a day. It gets worse every year.

Though it was just my company being cheap but other people said they had the same experiences

Ours been lame. Only a Christmas luncheon, no drinks ffs. Sometimes secret Santa, will go to lunch but prolly not gone participate in gift exchange if they doing that again.

They do a Thanksgiving here too but I'm taking a personal day this year. Ain't helping setup no damn tables

We had a merger late last year so it's actually gonna be pretty bad ass. Plus we do winter parties in January to avoid the Christmas riff raff.

Company is simply too large for a real party so the departments have their own. But some will be “nice” enough to do theirs offsite while others cheap it out and do it right in the work space.

last year we had a multi floor company party for everyone and it was a shytshow. Everyone going to the elevators for something like a photo booth and then having to go back to the elevators for champagne and then back to the elevators for food. I just hope I’m off that day.

I only want to go to the one because it's in VA and they give you a hotel room. It's like a little getaway, but it's boring. The other I have to pay for, but the crowd is more fun.
